  • IMPORTANT NOTICE on BitLocker:
    • Before executing the update, please back up your BitLocker/device-encryption recovery key.
    • Failure to do so may cause you to become unable to log in to the operating system after BIOS update.

  • General notes:
    • Don't remove the flash drive during the flash process until the laptop shuts down completely.
    • The flashing process will take some time and the device can restart several times during the flashing process.
    • During the flashing process, the Power LED might flicker for a period of time.
    • Due to the AGESA update since BIOS N.1.36A30, BIOS downgrades to BIOS N.1.17A17 or earlier are NOT POSSIBLE anymore after installing this or any later update.
    • RAID is no longer functional in this BIOS branch (see also: What is RAID and is there still any use for it?).

BIOS Compatibility Notice

XMG APEX 16 MAX (M25) is available with two different CPU platforms.
These two CPU platforms share the same drivers, but use different BIOS firmware.
Both of them are listed here on this page.
Each BIOS update package (ZIP file) includes the CPU series name in its filename.

Please double-check which CPU is in your system before you attempt to update your BIOS.
One way to check the CPU: press Win+R, type "msinfo32" and confirm, or search for "System Information" in Windows Start Menu.

Note: there are yet no BIOS updates available, that's why this page currently lists nothing under firmware.

Notice on AMD Graphics Drivers

Please initially install the "AMD_VGA" driver from this Download Pages (also known as "AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition"), prior to updating with the latest version from AMD's website. Our OEM driver incorporates model-specific customizations that will carry over to subsequent installations of the latest official AMD driver.

If you've already installed the latest AMD driver on a freshly reinstalled Windows without first using our "AMD_VGA" driver from this Download Pages, we advise you to download and install our AMD_VGA" driver now. Make sure to select the "Clean install" option during installation. You can then proceed to update with the latest AMD driver once more.

This approach ensures that OEM-specific adjustments are integrated into the official driver as outlined in the "Extension INF" (EINF) specification.
