XMG P705

XMG P705 requires different EC/BIOS versions, depending on CPU and GPU configuration.

1. Each GPU has its own BIOS version: GTX 965M, 970M, 980M.
2. Each CPU also has its own BIOS version: i7-4xxxHQ, i7-5xxxHQ.

This multiplies to a set of 6 different EC/BIOS versions in total (2 × 3).
Please make sure you are using the correct version.

Double-check which CPU and GPU is built into your system.

i7-4xxxHQ stands for:

• Intel Core 4th Generation
• i7-4720HQ
• i7-4870HQ

i7-5xxxHQ stands for:

• Intel Core 5th Generation
• i7-5700HQ

Compare the model number against what is printed at the bottom of the laptop.
The model number is also included in the serial number of your laptop.

The "-A" in the model number indicates the "Intel Core 5th Generation" CPU spec (i7-5700HQ).
On those models, the "-A" is indicated in the serial number without the "-" (dash).
